MARCHING BAND

The Bellevue West Marching Band consists of approximately 150-160 students in grades 9-12.  It is one of the premier marching organizations in the Midwest. The Bellevue West marching band strives to create shows that are both intellectual and entertaining. Throughout the season there is strong emphasis on body and movement. Students are taught the importance of tone quality, articulation & overall musicality. Auditions for the marching band take place in the spring.

The Bellevue West Marching Band travels extensively throughout the fall. They compete at approximately four regional competitions and one Bands of America competition during the fall semester. They have one sectional a week during the months of June and July.  At the end of July they participate in a two week band camp leading up to the start of school.  During the school year they have one night rehearsal and four morning rehearsals throughout the week.
